The Interior Ministry has released the official results of the municipal and mukhtar elections held on Sunday, May 4, in the Mount Lebanon mohafaza. The outcomes for the districts of Baabda, Aley, and Keserwan are now available on the Ministry’s website, while results for Metn and Jbeil are still pending.
This vote marked the launch of Lebanon’s long-delayed municipal elections, which are being held in stages over a four-week period across the country. Originally scheduled for 2023, the elections were postponed for two years due to the country’s ongoing security, political, and economic crisis.
