Lebanese station MTV, in collaboration with the program Sar al-Wa’et hosted and produced by journalist Marcel Ghanem, raised $4 million through a special telethon in support of the Sisters of the Cross Association.
The telethon was held during a special episode of the show, with the total amount of funds expected to increase as additional donations come in over the next few days.
The episode featured wide participation from journalists, influencers, doctors, students and patients from various institutions of Blessed Father Jacques of Ghazir, shedding light on the association’s mission and supporting the continuation of its services amid Lebanon’s ongoing economic crisis.
The association runs 19 healthcare and social institutions across Lebanon, serving over 3,000 patients, children and elderly individuals.
