The Syndicate of Owners of Travel and Tourism Offices in Lebanon, headed by Jean Abboud, held its Annual General Assembly at the Middle East Airlines (MEA) conference center on Friday, gathering a large number of industry members.

The session covered key agenda items, including the presentation and approval of the 2024 financial report, and discussions about the 2025 budget. Members also explored the pressing challenges facing the sector and outlined strategies aimed at reviving tourism in the country.

Syndicate President Jean Abboud commended MEA for its resilience during Lebanon’s multiple crises and voiced optimism about a potential recovery. He expressed hope that the recent election of President Joseph Aoun and the anticipated formation of a government led by Nawaf Salam would usher in greater stability.

“Our travel agencies are fully prepared to support the expected tourism rebound this summer,” Abboud affirmed, emphasizing the sector’s readiness to contribute to Lebanon’s economic recovery.
