On May 15, Disneyland Paris will open “World Premiere,” the first revamped space within the Walt Disney Studios park. This debut marks a major milestone in a massive expansion that will double the park’s size by 2026.

Disneyland Paris will open to the public on May 15 the newly redesigned “World Premiere,” a fully reimagined building and the first step in the massive renovation of its second park, Walt Disney Studios, which is set to double in size.

The American group The Walt Disney Company announced in 2018 a large-scale expansion and transformation plan for Walt Disney Studios, totaling “two billion euros for Disneyland Paris,” which first opened in the Paris region in 1992.

World Premiere, formerly a space that showcased behind-the-scenes film production, will now “transport visitors into the middle of a Hollywood-style movie premiere night,” according to a press release from Euro Disney published Saturday.

Walt Disney Studios will be renamed Disney Adventure World with the opening of a new Frozen-themed area (World of Frozen) in 2026.

“At the end of this expansion project — which includes the opening of Adventure Way, Adventure Bay and World of Frozen in 2026, and later an immersive Lion King land — we will have reimagined more than 90% of the park’s offerings since its 2002 debut and nearly doubled its size, making it truly unmissable!” said Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris, in the statement.

At the same time, the park is also renovating the hotels that welcome guests within the resort itself.
