The night turned poignant when Jane Fonda, at 87, took the stage for a rousing speech, celebrating her unconventional career and late resurgence in Hollywood. “We are in our documentary moment. This is it. And it’s not a rehearsal,” she declared, referencing the power of unions and the political climate. Kieran Culkin once again abandoned a prepared speech, joking about the weight of the trophy and taking an impromptu jab at Adrien Brody. “There’s no way anyone can hold this for 45 seconds, which is the allotted time, Adrien Brody,” he quipped, before adding, “There was no reason to take that shot. I love you.”
Another lighthearted moment came when Harrison Ford playfully stole the spotlight. As Shrinking co-star Jessica Williams shared her SAG story, Ford was caught mid-bite with a potato chip, only to remove it from his mouth upon realizing the cameras were on him. Williams laughed, “I told him to turn away!”
