Renowned novelist Dan Brown is making his return to bookstores this September with The Secret of Secrets, a highly anticipated sixth installment in the adventures of Robert Langdon, the Harvard symbologist. This release comes 22 years after the phenomenal success of The Da Vinci Code and eight years since his last novel.
Simultaneous launches will occur across multiple countries, marking a global debut for the book on September 9. Penguin Random House, Brown's American publisher, boasts over 250 million copies of his novels sold in 56 languages. For this title, the worldwide launch spans 16 languages. In France, Éditions JC Lattès has announced an initial print run of 500,000 copies, while the US release by Doubleday will feature an impressive 1.5 million copies in English.
Described by the author himself as “by far my most complex, ambitious, and entertaining novel,” The Secret of Secrets promises a gripping narrative. The story begins in Prague, centered around a groundbreaking manuscript exploring the nature of human consciousness. This explosive work threatens to upend centuries of established beliefs and becomes the target of a secret organization bent on stealing it. As is characteristic of Brown, the action unfolds across major global cities, blending history, science, and suspense.
Dan Brown first achieved global recognition with The Da Vinci Code, which became one of the biggest bestsellers in history. This groundbreaking work, weaving themes of Jesus’ lineage, the Mona Lisa, and Freemasonry, captivated millions of readers worldwide while also drawing criticism from scholars for its perceived inaccuracies. Despite the controversy, Brown’s books continue to enthrall fans with their intricate plots and intellectual puzzles.
