The management teams of mobile operators Alfa and Touch, along with the employee union, have developed a clear vision to address issues that have remained unresolved for nearly a year, including the signing of the collective labor agreement and salary adjustments.
During a Thursday meeting between the management of Alfa and Touch and members of the union council, a plan was adopted.
It comprises several points, particularly ensuring employees’ rights by promptly signing the collective labor agreement and granting employees their overdue rights, including supplements now forming the core of their salaries.
The plan also includes annual cost-of-living increases, the implementation of a periodic employee evaluation policy based on a clear and scientific approach in accordance with each company’s internal regulations, and the establishment of a mechanism to disburse social security benefits to all eligible individuals.
Additionally, participants emphasized that “those who have worked hard and made sacrifices during difficult years should be prioritized for well-deserved promotions before any new hires are made.”
The union also reiterated the right of non-permanent employees to be given permanent contracts before any new recruitment takes place.
It is worth noting that the employee union has demanded the adjustment of salaries and their full payment in fresh dollars for over a year, as well as the signing of the collective labor agreement.
Nearly a year ago, a consensus formula was introduced to renew employee contracts while safeguarding their rights and ensuring the sector’s development.
