Men’s Fashion Week returns to Paris with 37 shows, 30 presentations, and Jacquemus’ much-anticipated comeback. Despite notable absences, Paris maintains its status as the ultimate hub for cutting-edge fashion and emerging trends.

Always shaken by the reshuffling of creative directors, Men’s Fashion Week returns to Paris from January 21 to 26. The schedule includes 37 shows, 30 presentations, and the highly anticipated comeback of Jacquemus after a five-year absence.

Following Florence and Milan, the spotlight shifts to Paris with a slightly lighter lineup than last year. "This season feels a bit different due to the recent wave of creative director changes," explains Adrien Communier, fashion editor at GQ France.

Major Absences and New Faces

This edition sees the absence of Givenchy, as Sarah Burton, the newly appointed creative director, saves her debut for the women’s Fashion Week in March. Alessandro Michele, recently named at Valentino, will return during haute couture week. Loewe is also notably missing, with rumors circulating about Jonathan Anderson’s departure.

Nonetheless, Paris retains its status as the pinnacle of creativity. "Even with a few absences, Paris remains the most innovative and complete Fashion Week," says Alice Feillard, menswear buyer at Galeries Lafayette.

Louis Vuitton will kick off the event on Tuesday evening with Pharrell Williams’ fourth collection. Iconic houses like Dior Homme, Hermès, Kenzo, and major Japanese brands will also take center stage.

Notable Comebacks

One of the most eagerly awaited shows is Jacquemus’ return to the official calendar after years of staging independent events in stunning locations. Lanvin also makes a comeback after a two-year hiatus with Peter Copping’s debut collection.

Willy Chavarria, celebrated for his bold aesthetic and role at Calvin Klein, will present his first Paris show. Emerging talent Emeric Tchatchoua, founder of the 3.Paradis label, also debuts on the official lineup.

Trends and Inspirations

In terms of style, with streetwear's dominance fading, casual tailoring is on the rise. Trench coats, duffle coats, leather jackets, and slippers combine for a look that is both chic and relaxed. Workwear-inspired designs and ultra-technical outdoor pieces are also trending.

As for materials, glossy or vinyl-like leather continues to dominate, while brown tones remain a strong presence on the runways. All will be revealed by January 26.
