The CEO of Banque de l’Habitat (BDH), Antoine Habib, along with board member Tawfiq Naji, recently engaged in discussions at the Qatari Embassy in Beirut regarding the bank's operations and housing loan programs tailored for Lebanese individuals with limited and moderate incomes.
The discussions primarily focused on Habib's upcoming trip to Doha, with the objective of garnering support from Qatar for BDH through the provision of a subsidized loan intended for low- and middle-income earners.
It is important to note that, thanks to a loan granted by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development to BDH, Lebanese citizens now have the opportunity to once again access subsidized housing loans. The Fund has greenlit a loan amounting to 50 million Kuwaiti dinars (equivalent to approximately $165 million) for the financial institution.
