Israeli violations in southern Lebanon are ongoing. On Tuesday night, the Israeli Army bombarded multiple homes and destroyed roads in the southern Lebanese towns of Aita al-Shaab, Hanine and Maroun al-Ras.

Moreover, a heavy Israeli bombardment caused extensive damage to the village of Markaba in Marjayoun.

In another incident in Marjayoun, specifically in Mays al-Jabal, Israeli forces demolished eleven buildings and 25 residential units on Tuesday night.

Israeli drones were spotted flying on Wednesday morning over Beirut and the neighboring areas.

Ceasefire Enforcement and Monitoring in Southern Lebanon

On Wednesday, members of the Ceasefire Oversight Committee initiated an inspection tour of the western sector of southern Lebanon, assessing areas where the Lebanese Army has been deployed and where future deployments are anticipated.

Meanwhile, Mike Waltz, the National Security Advisor to US President Donald Trump, emphasized the necessity to deliberate on the future and efficacy of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). This statement comes amidst escalating tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border, where Israeli transgressions persist. Tel Aviv asserts that Hezbollah has not fully complied with the terms of the agreement decreed on November 27, 2024, and continues to pose a security threat.

Waltz also highlighted concerns about Iran's vulnerability following recent conflicts, suggesting that Tehran might reconsider its nuclear stance.
