The Lebanese army is preparing to take up position in Aita al-Shaab for the first time since the November 27 ceasefire was concluded between Hezbollah and Israel.
Army tanks were stationed on Tuesday in the Bayada area, getting ready to deploy in Naqoura, along with a patrol from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
Lebanese soldiers began deploying in this area on Monday, as well as in Hamoul and Khiam, while many villages remain inaccessible.
The Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichai Adraee, reiterated his appeal to the residents of southern Lebanon, asking them not to go to the following localities “until further notice:” Dhayra, Taybeh, Tiri, Naqoura, Abou Chach, Abel al-Saqi, Bayada, Jebbayn, Khuraybah, Khiam, Khirbet, Matmoura, Mari, Odaisseh, Qolayat, Oum Totha, Salib, Arnoun, Bint Jbeil, Beit Leif, Blida, Bani Hayan, Boustan, Ain Arab Marjayoun, Dibbin, Debel, Deir Mimas, Deir Siryan, Hula, Helta, Hanine, Tayr Harfa, Yohmor, Yaroun, Yarine, Kfar Hammam, Kfar Kila, Kfarchouba, Zaloutiyeh, Mohaybib, Mays al-Jabal, Maysat, Marjayoun, Marwahin, Maroun al-Ras, Markaba, Adchit el-Qusayr, Ain Ebel, Ainata, Aita al-Shaab, Aitaroun, Alma al-Shaab, Arab el-Louaizeh, Kouzah, Rab al-Thalathin, Ramya, Rmeish, Rachaya al-Foukhar, Shebaa, Chihine, Chamaa, Tallousseh.
