An Israeli raid targeted the town of Naqoura early on Friday morning, and the town of Khiam was also targeted on Thursday, which resulted in one killed and one injured, according to the Ministry of Health.

In this context, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers condemned the attack, which occurred "less than 24 hours after the army’s deployment began in the Khiam-Marjayoun region."

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati described it as a "blatant act of treachery that contradicts all guarantees provided by the parties sponsoring the ceasefire agreement, namely the United States and France." In a statement on X on Thursday, he called on both nations to "take a clear stance on this event and curb Israeli aggression."

"These ongoing violations must be addressed by the monitoring commission responsible for supervising the implementation of the ceasefire. It is imperative for the commission to act immediately and decisively to address this incident and prevent its recurrence," the statement added.

On Thursday, the Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, announced that Israeli forces had targeted "several Hezbollah operatives in South Lebanon who posed a threat to Israeli citizens, violating the agreements between Israel and Lebanon."

"The Israeli Defense Forces remain committed to the agreements concerning the ceasefire in Lebanon. They are deployed in South Lebanon and continue to act to neutralize any threats to the State of Israel and its citizens," read a statement posted on the platform X.

Adraee reiterated on Friday morning the near-daily warning to residents of the South Litani region, cautioning them about the dangers of being in the area.

In addition, Israeli drones flew extensively over the villages and towns of Tyre on Friday morning.
