The US embassy in Beirut shared an announcement by the US Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service Rewards for Justice, offering a “reward of up to $10 million for information leading to Austin Tice's whereabouts for his recovery, location and return.”

Austin Tice, a US law student and freelance journalist has been missing since 2012 in Syria, says Rewards for Justice.

“Help us find him and bring him home,” it added.

Tice was in Syria reporting on the country’s civil war when he went missing. He was abducted on August 12, 2012 from the Damascus suburb of Darayya.
