Israel continued to target several areas in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa on Saturday. In Beirut’s southern suburbs, a cautious calm prevailed after an intense night on Friday.

Over the last 24 hours, 76 air strikes have been recorded on different parts of Lebanon, mainly in the south, bringing the total number of attacks since the beginning of the Israeli offensive to 11161.

The Ministry of Health has published the toll of dead and wounded over the last 24 hours, with 19 dead and 108 wounded, bringing the total number of dead and wounded since the start of the conflict to 2653 and 12360.

Attacks on southern Lebanon

In Kfar Remen, an early morning strike destroyed a home in the Sawwan neighborhood. According to al-Jadeed TV, five members of the Abou Raya family were killed in Tefahta, Saida district, as a result of an Israeli airstrike on their home.

Four strikes were also recorded on Ansar, alongside one targeting the outskirts of Bedias. Additionally, Israeli artillery bombarded the outskirts of Halta and Wadi Khansa with phosphorus shells. More strikes were reported near Bafliya, al-Majadel, Jebbayn and Tayr Dabba.

Heavy artillery shelling was reported in the area between Majdel Zoun and Chamaa, which led to fires. A drone targeted a bulldozer in the town of Rechknanay that was working to open one of the town's roads, though no injuries were reported.

An Israeli attack on a health center in al-Bazouriya killed a paramedic and wounded five others. Subsequently, the Ministry of Public Health condemned the attacks on medical personnel, urging the international community to intervene.

The town of Yohmor al-Shaqif was shelled with internationally banned Israeli missile shells following raids by warplanes.

Attacks on the Beqaa

Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids after midnight last night on Baalbek and the villages of the district, targeting a house in Amshki on the hills overlooking Baalbek city, which led to the injury of a citizen.

Warplanes also raided the town of al-Ansar and the area of the town of Budai, west of Baalbek.

Hezbollah’s attacks

For their part, Hezbollah targeted the Kiryat Shmona settlement. Additionally, they claimed to have targeted Israeli soldiers in Shlomi and bases including Tel Nof airbase, Mishar base and the Jal al-Alam site. They announced the targeting of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of Aita al-Shaab and the Mushairfa area in Ras al-Naqoura.

Israeli claims and statements

The Israeli army announced that 61 of its soldiers had been wounded in the fighting in southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours.

The Israeli Home Front Command announced the sounding of sirens in Kiryat Shmona and neighboring areas in the Upper Galilee. Sirens also sounded in dozens of locations in northern Israel.

In this context, the Israeli army announced that “the explosions in the north are the result of the operations of our forces in southern Lebanon, and there is no fear of a security event.”

Finally, according to Israel Radio, the authorities confirmed that there was no tremor in the Galilee, but rather explosions by the army in southern Lebanon, which activated the tremor detectors.
