Jean Abboud, President of the Lebanese Tourist and Travel Agency Owners’ Union, revealed that flight bookings departing from Beirut, via Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, have decreased over the last ten days by around 20-30% compared to the previous period.

In a press release on Wednesday, he stated that the number of flights will reduce starting in November.

Middle East Airlines (MEA), for example, will operate only one flight per day to France or Africa, down from two, due to reduced demand.
Regarding flights landing at BIA, Abboud indicated that the aircraft occupancy rate does not surpass 10%.
