Beirut’s Suburbs Hit at Dawn, the Israeli Army Announced the Killing of a Hezb Expert in Communications in the Jounieh's Airstrike

The Israeli army announced that it had killed Reza Abbas Awada, a Hezbollah expert in wireless communications, in a strike on his car on Saturday in Jounieh, Keserwan area.

It also claimed responsibility for killing Ahmad Ali Hussein, head of Hezbollah's weapons production team.

Israel also said it attacked a Hezbollah intelligence headquarters and an underground weapons production facility in the southern suburb of Beirut, targeted on Sunday morning.

Since dawn on Sunday, Israel has bombarded Beirut's southern suburbs with five airstrikes following warnings for civilians to evacuate Hezbollah's stronghold. Two strikes targeted the Hadath area, a third hit a residential building in Harat Hreik, and the fourth struck near Bahman Hospital.

On Saturday, the southern suburbs were hit by around 10 Israeli airstrikes after a period of relative calm over the past few days.

Field Developments in the South

A ground incursion was attempted towards the town of Dahira, leading to fierce clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah, with direct artillery shelling on the outskirts of Dahira and the town of Bustan.

Early on Sunday morning, at around 3:30 AM, several villages and towns in the Nabatiyeh area were hit by consecutive airstrikes. At 2:15 AM, another strike destroyed the Kamal complex at Nabatyieh's western entrance, resulting in multiple victims, according to the National News Agency. Rescue teams are clearing rubble. The Nabatiyeh-Zebdine road, blocked by debris, has been reopened.

Several southern towns, including Khiam and the Marjayoun plain, have been heavily shelled by Israeli artillery, which has not stopped since midnight.

Moreover, fierce clashes erupted between Hezbollah fighters and the Israeli army on the Aita al-Shaab front in southern Lebanon.

At around 9:00 AM today, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike targeting the area between the towns of Abba and Zrariyah.

An Israeli force also detonated explosives in the Al-Tarash neighborhood of Myis al-Jabal, after rigging it with high explosives. The same force bulldozed the Blida cemetery and attempted to demolish buildings on the outskirts of front-line villages.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed several attacks against Israel. It targeted the city of Safed and an Israeli military gathering in the settlement of Manara and the settlement of Rosh Pina, southeast of Safed, at 12:05 AM on Sunday.

It also announced to have targeted an Israeli army gathering in the Sadana area of Shebaa Farms with a rocket salvo. 
The Israeli airstrike continue relentlessly on the Southern front, where Abbasiya witnessed massive destruction in Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain. Moreover, the Israeli army bombarded the outskirts of Burghliyeh in Tyre, where two people were killed.

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced in a statement that its air force attacked more than 65 Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon under the direction of the northern command.

The statement added that the air force also attacked dozens of Hezbollah targets, including rocket-launching platforms aimed at Israel.

The Israeli army also reported that its air defenses intercepted an aerial target over the maritime area of Haifa.

Israel's Channel 12 said that the air defenses intercepted a suspicious aerial object off the coast of Haifa without triggering any alarms.

Meanwhile, Israel's Walla news site reported that residents of Haifa heard a loud explosion near the port area this morning.
