Basketball - Asian Championship (U18): Lebanon Starts Strong Against Chinese Taipei
Lebanon's U18 men's basketball team kicked off their campaign in the Asian Championship, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with a big win against Chinese Taipei, securing a score of 97 to 75 in Group A of the continental competition, which serves as a qualifier for the World Cup to be held in Switzerland next year.



The Cedars managed to dominate the game from the beginning. The quarter-by-quarter scores were as follows: (32-17), (56-42), (73-58), (97-75).

The top scorers for Lebanon were Karl Zammata (22 points), Anthony Naba (17 points), Hadi al-Khatib (14 points) and Karim Oueidat (13 points).


It should be noted that four Asian teams will qualify for the World Cup.

Lebanon will face Australia on Tuesday at 11:30 AM Beirut time.
