Gunfire Celebrations in Lebanon Following Supposed Capture of Israeli Army Members in Gaza
On Saturday night, different areas of Lebanon experienced marches and gunfire celebrations after Hamas announced the capture of Israeli soldiers in an ambush alongside the killing of other army members in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.



In the southern Lebanese city of Tyre, residents of the al-Buss refugee camp set off takbirs and firecrackers in response to the announcement. Video footage also documented residents of the al-Jalil refugee camp in Baalbeck setting off firecrackers. Beirut residents could clearly hear and see the joyful gunfire from south Beirut around 1 AM.



In northern Lebanon, a march took place in the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp following the news of the capture. A similar march occurred in the Nahr al-Bared camp.
