The Arabian Combat Sports (ACS) organization held a martial arts sports evening this weekend in Tripoli which, for the occasion, turned into the combat sports capital of the Middle East. Under the slogan "The Return," this sporting event took place in the indoor sports hall of el-Mina (Tripoli) under the supervision of the kickboxing and Muay Thai federations.
The expectations of the organization's president, Walid Ajaj, were confirmed as he declared on the eve of the event that "Lebanon and the Middle East will witness a royal evening of combat sports." Indeed, no less than four and a half thousand people have been gathering in the port city's sports hall since midday to watch the high-level fights. Thousands were unable to enter the hall after tickets sold out several days before the event. As a result, observers described the event as one of the most memorable evenings of combat sports, which is a booming discipline, in Lebanon's history.
