Southern Front: 1 Israeli Dead and 7 Injured
Following the firing of an anti-armor rocket from Lebanon towards Margaliot in the Upper Galilee, reports from Israeli media clarified that there was one fatality and seven individuals wounded.

Regarding the exchange of fire, the Israeli army fired in the air and at close range at farmers who were spraying pesticides on their crops near the town of Wazzani in the Marjayoun district.

Warplanes also targeted several houses earlier this morning in Aita al-Shaab in two stages, causing serious damage to homes, land and, in particular, electricity and water networks.

Phosphorus and smoke shelling hit the eastern side of the towns of Hula and Markaba. Israeli forces also shelled with phosphorus shells the area of Bir al-Muslibiyat at the northern entrance to the town of Hula in the Marjayoun district.

Israeli artillery targeted the residential neighborhoods of Markaba town while warplanes attacked Khallet Warda, adjacent to the town of Aita al-Shaab.

As the US President's special envoy, Amos Hochstein, was expected in Beirut today (Monday) for a whirlwind visit designed to reactivate a possible diplomatic solution to the war, the Israeli army made two attempted ground incursions on the southern front on Sunday, according to Hezbollah.

Hezbollah announced that it had "thwarted two Israeli land infiltration attempts" at around 11:45 PM on Sunday, one in the Wadi Qatmoun region opposite the Lebanese village of Rmeish, and a second using an explosive device to target an Israeli force from the Golani Brigade attempting to infiltrate from the Khirbet Zarit region, opposite Ramya (Bint Jbeil).

Hezbollah also claimed to have targeted these soldiers with artillery shells.

In a separate statement, the pro-Iranian group announced later on Sunday night that it had targeted the Zarit barracks and surrounding area.
