The renowned French cinema legend Alain Delon, now aged 88, is reportedly in a fragile state of health, a fact that his son, Anthony Delon, recently discussed in an interview with Paris Match. This revelation sparked concern about Delon's well-being, particularly after a photograph from a Christmas Eve dinner was released, showing the actor, who has become a recluse in recent years, appearing gaunt and feeble.
Anthony Delon described his father as being in a "weakened" condition, struggling to come to terms with his diminished physical state. Alain Delon, celebrated for his roles in esteemed films such as Swimming Pool, The Leopard and Purple Noon, experienced a severe stroke in July 2019. Since then, he has largely confined himself to his estate in Douchy, located in France's Loire region.
Communication has become challenging for Alain Delon. “He doesn't speak much, it tires him or it annoys him when we make him repeat, because his voice is no longer always clear, or audible,” Anthony Delon conveyed in the interview. He further expressed apprehension that this past Christmas might have been his father's last.

Compounding these health concerns are issues regarding Alain Delon's former live-in assistant, Hiromi Rollin. Last year, Delon's three children filed a complaint against Rollin, alleging harassment and threatening behavior. Additionally, Anthony Delon lodged a second complaint, accusing Rollin of violence and attempting to seclude his father. Rollin, who was evicted from the actor’s property in July, contested these allegations, countering with a legal complaint of her own.
The interview further divulged emerging familial tensions surrounding the patriarch's care. Anthony Delon, son of Alain Delon and his former wife Nathalie Delon, disclosed that he had reported his half-sister Anouchka Delon, Alain Delon's daughter with Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen, to the authorities. The dispute centers on Anouchka’s alleged failure to inform the family of Alain Delon's cognitive test results from 2019. “My sister never informed my brother and me that between 2019 and 2022, my father had been subjected to five cognitive tests during his visits to the clinic in Switzerland and that he did not pass any of them,” Anthony stated. He emphasized that these results indicate a decline in cognitive abilities, rendering his father psychologically vulnerable.
Currently, the day-to-day care of Alain Delon is overseen by his youngest son, Alain-Fabien Delon, also Rosalie van Breemen's child, who publicized the family photo on his Instagram account.
