- Despite Christmas Eve, No Respite on the Southern Front

Despite Christmas Eve, the exchange of artillery fire between Hezbollah and Israel continued intermittently throughout Sunday.
In the afternoon, the Israeli army bombed the Hobeish school in the village of Taybeh and raided the area between Taybeh and Rab al-Thalatheen, damaging a house. Bombs also fell on the outskirts of Tayr Harfa and the perimeters of Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun, as well as on the villages of Naqoura, Labbouneh and Aita al-Shaab.
In the early evening, the Israeli army fired flares over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line, while reconnaissance aircraft flew over towns and villages in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah retaliated, attacking the settlement of Avivim in the afternoon. According to a statement from the pro-Iranian party, a residential building was hit, and several people were injured.
The pro-Iranian party also announced that it had targeted the Dhayra position and an Israeli infantry unit in Hounin.
The Israeli army, denouncing Hezbollah's attitude, accused it of "dragging the inhabitants of Lebanon into the war and emptying southern Lebanon of its population." They declared in the evening that two anti-tank missiles had been fired from southern Lebanon at the village of Margaliot, in the Upper Galilee.
