The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) transferred on Thursday an additional 102 billion pounds for the treatment of dialysis patients.
CNSS announced, in a statement, that its Director General, Mohammad Karaki, has instructed the relevant financial departments to transfer an additional 102 billion Lebanese pounds for the treatment of dialysis patients, after it made, at the end of last month, a payment amounting to LBP 125 billion, bringing the total of what has been paid since the beginning of 2023, to around LBP 581 billion.
The director pointed out that it is his duty to ensure full health coverage for dialysis patients (100% at CNSS expense) because most of them have no income, and need around three sessions per week and are unable to work.
Karaki also expressed his support for the hospitals, stressing the importance of providing them, as quickly as possible, with the financial resources to which they are entitled so that they can be ready in view of the unstable and delicate security conditions the country is experiencing.
